Meet our May Artist: Orphan Train!
Aram Arslanian performs extensively as a solo act, as the lead guitarist for Taken By The Sky, Portland's premier Fleetwood Mac tribute act as well as Vancouver Lincoln’s Beard. Using the moniker Orphan Train Aram has released five albums of original songs since 1998. With Americana flavored original songs, Aram performs unforgettable 20th century classics. Accompanying his dynamic tenor voice on both guitar and piano, he brings a warm and familial vibe to any environment.

Meet our March Artist: Yawa!
Yawa AKA Amenta Abioto (b. 1991) is a songwriter and producer from Memphis, TN and is currently based in Portland, OR. In her one-woman performance, she builds vocal and instrumental loops from synth, drum machine, and kalimba – creating atmospheric textures. Amenta surprises and tantalizes audiences with mind bending ideas while skipping vocally from soul-shaking gospel to smooth jazz. Her music is boldly mystical and soul-fired, and her raw live performances invoke elements of both theatrical and magical surprise.

Join the Gresham Historical Society for a Reception and Story-Sharing Event for their latest pop-up exhibit of Rockwood Stories.
At this free event, we will be gathering short oral histories about life in Rockwood from many years ago to the modern day. Do you have a Rockwood story to share? We’d love to hear it! And be sure to enjoy a delicious meal from the many merchant’s while you enjoy the exhibit.

Meet the talented one woman orchestra, Elizabeth Wisler! Elizabeth is an eclectic accordionist from Portland, Oregon. She performs classic jazz and energetic renditions of pop music such as “Despacito” and “Careless Whisper.” There’s a good chance you have seen Elizabeth performing at PDX, as she has been a volunteer musician for the Port of Portland Music Program since 2009.

Dia De Los Muertos
Dia De Los Muertos comes alive at Rockwood Market Hall on November 1st, 2023, thanks to The Mariposa Effect. Join us for an event filled with arts and crafts, music, an ofrenda, and the opportunity to receive a free custom airbrush t-shirt (while supplies last). This event is the perfect blend of tradition and celebration, providing a space to honor and cherish those who hold a special place in our hearts in a culturally immersive atmosphere.
Trick or Treat at the Rockwood Market Hall
We’re hosting a Trick or Treat event on October 31st, from 4pm to 8pm. Merchants will be handing out candy and there will be a costume contest for children aged 12 and under at 6 pm. Participants stand a chance to win the grand prize – a $50 Walmart gift card!

Irina is a singer-songwriter based in Portland, Oregon. Originally from Kazakhstan, Irina began her singing journey back in 2010 when she first started writing songs and learning to play guitar. She focuses on the lyrics and melodies in her songs, aiming to create a profound atmosphere that you can dive into as she sings in two languages. Irina’s musical influences include John Lennon, Lana del Rey, Johnny Cash, and Frank Sinatra.
